This is why the plot kinda sucks

  1. The fairies become cat like beings instead of how they are supposed to look

  2. They mess up on the lore, if someone is from the other world no one is supposed to see them so how can anyone see Yu?

  3. how does saving Princess Astrid in one world cure Kotona's cancer?

  4. How is Oliver alive? It is a possibility but the movie takes place after Ni No Kuni II revenent kingdom in which the time is set in 2020's-2040's meaning Oliver would be super super old in the movie like unable to walk old. (probably dead)

  5. At the end of the movie Yu wears a very similar outfit to Ferdinand, making me think he's Ferdinand. (I don't know this is just how I feel) If he is Ferdinand that means that Astrid would be his grandchild or great grandchild. Incest is great right?

  6. The key parts of Ni No Kuni is explroring the world, in all the games and the manga. The movie doesn't do the key part at all, they stay in one place the entrie time.

  7. Evermore gets a fighting ring?/???

  8. Evermore is supposed to be a place where all people can connect and be happy, where everyone can live happily ever after. Why did the kings dad hate Galoreth so much? Because he's green? Well great going dude. The whole meaning of your kingdom is gone.

  9. If Yu was paralyzed in the plane crash Haru would have developed a mobility disorder as well, since whatever is done to your soulmate is done onto yourself in a different way. (Ex. Esther being heartbroken + Myrtle getting sick, Rashas being insecure and afraid of everything + Rusty being broken hearted, Alissandra dying + Roland's wife dying, Doloran becoming a king + Roland becoming president, Doloran's kingdom being destroyed + A nuke is released on America, Tommy being lost + King Tom being kidnapped)

  10. The black banner doesn't exist (I see CrossWorlds as more cannon as this movie) in Cross Worlds it is called the Black Circle, and in Cross Worlds they are an underground military made of predominantly humans who want to corrupt the world to be a human centric society, in the Black Circle each person had been harmed by the world and they want to make it more human centric to fix their issues. Not Galoreth just being "Waaah my papa didn't love me and I wanna be king waaaaah, and we're all green and evil cause humans can't be bad."

  11. WTH IS THE PINK THING WITH OLIVER??? It isn't a familar since Oliver's canon familiars are the Mite, the Lemur and the Fairy. And, after I looked through every page of the wizards companion and several websites trying to find every familiar. I can safely say, the pink thing is not a familiar it is a freak of nature.

  12. The ending was so rushed, Haru switched sides so quick beacsye "oh he said it was just a dream, my bad for almost causing a genocide. Anyway Gnauss is Galoreth." Dude, if you are gonna be a morally grey character don't have your motives switch so quick

  13. Ni No Kuni villains you are supposed to sympathize with them, Shadar seeing the way war was handled and wanting to fix it, Cassiopeia wanting to bring peace to all but Mana not being what she thought, Doloran wanting his wife back, Queen Nerea wanting to protect her kingdom, Zip wanting to create enough energy to power his kingdom forever and make sure no one got hungry, Cyrus wanting to make machinery and be understood, Levant wanting to protect the world from the Players. Shiam wanting to preserve their family. All sympathizable motives, but what about Galoreth? Nope, he just wasn't king and was green.

  14. The way at the end everyone forgets about Yu is so stupid. Myrtle could feel when there was something magical happeing, even if she couldn't see anything she knew. And when Oliver died for a bit no one forgot about him exisiting. And when Roland went back to his world Evan didn't forget about him. If it was explained as if "he was brought back to the day he left" or he used Today Tomorrow Yesterday to fix it, it would have made sense.

  15. The artstyle is extremely boring. The games main draw for many players is the beautiful art throughout the game, even in CrossWorlds the art is beautiful. But the art in this movie is just flat and dull. Comparing scenes from the ni no kuni games to this movie makes my eyes bleed. Ex. Shadar's castle, Doloran's lair, and The Black Banners hideout. Comparing these three makes me go insane. In Shadar's castle it actually makes you fear what could be inside and the way the corridors curve as you walk adds to the suspense, in Doloran's lair you can see all the king's-bonds he collected making you fear you'll need to fight them all again, and it also has themes from the previous NI No Kuni game where you can see the tears/frogs from the Forgotten Grotto. And the black banners hideout/castle? Not really much to say here, it is a normal dark castle with monsters in it. There is no beauty in it, it is just simply there. Nothing makes that castle stand out from any other dark castle in movies. Also the character design, people in the other world are supposed to look magical or at least cooler than the people in the normal world. The only person I'd think fits this category is Gnauss, that purple girl in one scene and the dog. None of the other characters are as creative and expressive as they should be. I get it they want to make it clear who is who's soul-mate, but oh my goodness. Make the guard lady look like an actual guard, where are her muscles? Her battle scars? She has nothing she is just Yu's guardian in a different outfit.
